"Staying at Carlo's house was truly an unforgettable stay. The house is huge and absolutely beautiful. It was clean, orderly, and Carlos was totally a responsive host. I extended my stay to come a day early and the pool was not clean, but a simple email to Carlos had pool cleaners at the house in less than 20 minutes. The rooms are gorgeous, each with their own beautiful bathroom. I am not sure if this is mentioned in the house listing, but there is a secluded shower on the roof, which is a TOTAL dream. Showering outside in the Mexican heat is wonderful!! You would seriously be missing out not to stay in this house. Located in Mejorada, it is an easy walk to downtown Merida and all the restaurants/bars/nightlife. During the day, it is an easy walk to the mercado. If you stay out late and don't want to walk, it is a literal 1-2$ Uber from downtown Merida back to the house."
