"I would highly recommend Casa de los Cielos if your planning a trip to Merida. It is walkable distance to the city center and other attractions. The owners had everything ready for us upon arrival and they were so easy to get a hold off. The house it self was beautiful and clean. The pool was an amazing amenitie to have specially when you want to refresh yourself from the heat. The bedrooms were spacious and neat, plus they had AC. All in all it was a beautiful home, if you ever find your self in Merida, this is a perfect place to stay."

"Wow! This was a wonderful experience. From the very beginning, Carlos, the host, was absolutely welcoming, and willing to help me plan an awesome stay in Merida. I asked him for some good restaurant suggestions, and he provided me with various options. He was also willing to work with the hectic schedules that my partner and I had to hand over the keys. The house itself was lovely. It was very spacious, clean, safe and private. It was a two-story home, with two bedrooms (perfect for a family) and several bathrooms. The kitchen was very big, and stocked with the essentials (cookware, appliances, utensils, silverware, etc.). The living room/dining area were pretty comfortable, primarily because of how cool they were. We always kept the two giant mesh doors located at the front and back of the house open, along with the fans, and we had no need for the AC (which is also true for the upstairs bedrooms). This helped make our electricity charge, at the end of our stay, very affordable. If you need to cool off even more, you could always take a dip in the pool. It was pretty wide, not too shallow, and so refreshing! The bedrooms upstairs are very simple. They each have a bed, huge closets, a bathroom (with a shower), and air-conditioning systems (and ceiling fans that are just as powerful). The house was a pleasure to stay at. I would gladly stay here again the next time I visit Merida."

"I met Carlos Betancourt at Immigration while struggling through paperwork and language barriers for my FM3. He rushed to my assistance when I had a problem with translation at the main desk. What immediately struck me was this young man's concern and innate desire to help. Since that day, Carlos has almost become a part of our family. He has rendered assistance with AC units, car tires, FM2/3's, and Yucatecan vehicle titles, drivers' licenses, and health insurance. He has secured inexpensive, reliable, English-speaking contractors for various home projects. When my car broke down at Sam's Club north on a Sunday, I called Carlos right away and within an hour he was at my side with his mechanic in tow! My sister is considering relocation and employment in Merida. Carlos successfully set up six interviews for her prior to her arrival. And she was offered six jobs!! This young man is one of the most dependable, trustworthy, and well organized individuals I've ever met. I would trust him implicitly with anything, and we are so grateful to have him always available and standing by for us."
